If the crimson lives up to expectations, Captain Storer's team will turn the trick of having defeated Yale in two successive yets for the first time in history. Harvard came out on top last year by a score of 20 to 0, and the tacking on of another victory without a break will establish precedent. They are not very strong for breaking precedents in the staid section of the country where "Yalers" and "Harvarders" are cultivated. In this coming conflict Yale has two. big things against her and one in her favor. Against Yale is arrayed Brick ley, Harvard's great fullback, and the Blues' weakness. Precedent alone that a few healthy wallops, such as that faew healthy wallops, such as Charles Brickley is capable of dealing, usually puts precedent talk on the blink. No mention of Harvard is com plete without Brickley, or possibly it should be put in another way, as it is necessary in making yourself clear to let it be known just where this young man holds forth. It was a narrow squeak for the crimson when they met Princeton. Brickley's toe alone brought the decision. He is undoubt edly the greatest drop kicker ever e veloped in the country. He shoots them oveV with unerring aim from the 35 or 50-yard line without an effort.) As an open field runner he has few equals. Hia team mate, Eddie Mahan, playing halfback, probably can come closer to Brickley than any other man Jin this department. Both twist, turn and wiggle through a broken field and it takes a hard, sure tackle to bring them down. ! Before the Princeton game Harvard was credited with having the greatest Ibackfield and greatest line in the country. This proved to be largely a myth. Princeton out-rushed Harvard, and Streit, the Tiger fullback, ripped through the line for big gains. The backficld is great only when Mahan or Brickley are in line. Hardwick is a reliable halfback and an excellent punter, but many are his equal. Brad lee showed himself to be nothing more than an average back. Capt. Storer is a great end, but other members of the team showed little to distinguish them from the average good varsity player of the day. Yale has plowed along in a bad ditch throughout the season. Injuries have kept blue regulars out of the lineup and the team sent against Har vard will be shy five of the best men in the Yale camp. Cornish, the best quarterback developed, was put out with a broken shoulder and others have been in and out on the hospital list. It was he J! who suggested the idea and took up J j the matter with the Carnegie commis s sion and secured the co-operation cf I that body. Up to the present time no money has been received from the Carnegie commission, but it is hoped that now tht the contract has been ratified by the city council the money will be forthcoming in the near future. Enterprise has the distinction of being the smallest town in the state to have a Carnegie library. The building is 34x60 feet, including small additions. There is an apart ment for adult readers and another for children. Between these is the de livery room and back of this latter room is the reference room. It is thought the building will be ready for occupancy by the 10th of December. An appropriate celebra tion of some kind will be arranged for the occasion of opening and several wealthy persons are said to have prom ised donations in books to the new li brary. Bunting & Block of this city de signed the building and superintended the work. The library board is com posed of five women and two men. It was through the energy and tact and sticktoitiveness of the women princi pally that the details of the building were worked out. With other improvements on the way Enterprise will in the near future be a city of considerable consequence and verybody in this valley will wish them success and godspeed in the new venture.
