TEAC1 OFF 00 TRIP FfllDm One of the thrilling moments in "The Wolf" at the Arcude Theatre Friday November 14th. : s Euirene Walter's ereatest play, "The! Wolf," the phenomenally successful Kvolf ", comes to the Arcade Theatre romantic, drama, which comes to the km Friday, November 14. No play of tecent years has had such a wonder ull run of business as has been ac corded to this romantic story of the Canadian woods'. It is claimed that more people have witnessed this play than any drama ever before sent on Hour. Arcade on Friday, November 14th, is Jules Beaubien's rendition of "the. great desire speech" in the second act. Women and girls have displayed the keenest interest over the manner in which the actor renders the lines, as well as the Une3 themselves, - and many have asked for them that they BIG GAME AT PENDLETON SEES FBI ENDS AS COACHES. Light Um Wffl Probably Hy Diffi culty b Keeping Intact. . Tomorrow morning the La Grand football turn leave for Pendleton and will return tomorrow evening on No. 18. The game wiD be called at 2.-00 o'clock in order to allow the team to come back the same day and in order to get all the sleep and rest possible in preparation for . the .big game with Baker here next week, no night travel ing will be indulged in. The Pendle tin team has an average line of 160 pounds and if they are fast and are able to handle the ball, should de feat the La Grande squad as the lat ter will not be able to overcome an extra weight of 10 pounds to the man, likely. The locals have been practic ing with one thing in mind during the nast week speed and forward passes. To some extent they have ac complished this although they are far from being perfect. . I Captain' Couch has been playing in the back field all week and he will do the signal calling tomorrow. His an kle is still weak and he has not obtain ed the best speed yet, . Rosenbaum ' has earned a regular berth on the f irs squad because of his ability to pass the ball and to tackle. He is light but will be a good addi tion if he playes as he did last Satur-, day. This leaves Oliver at the other fullback position and Hunter and Proc tor to fight out the other halfback. Winters and Garrity will be in the lihe-up and will make " great difference-Winters is a mighty valuable man on defense as Garrity is uded on the end of most of the forward pass s PEOPLED STOR&; , MART SCHAFFNBB 4k MASS CLOTHES FOB . The battle betwefn the Pendleton and La Grande high school football teams Friday afternoon at Round-Up park will be all the more. interesting because of the rivalry between tne coaches." ' Albert Asbahr is directing the maneuvers of the local boys while Charles "Shrimp"," Reynolds is put ting ' the ; Union county defenders through their paces. Both young men are graduates of the Oregon .Argicui- tural college and both were members of the football team of that institution while there. They attended college at the same time and were close friends and new they are doing their utmost to canture each other's "goat". The dope indicates a victory for the P. H .S. boys, despite the lact tnai they go into the game untried. Last year the local team defeated the La Grande eleven at La Grande by a good big margin but several of the stars of that team are missing this year. La Grande was defeated last Saturday by Wallowa in a hard battle but that does not mean that her team is weak for the Wallowa bunch is admittedly strong. Coach Reynolds is counting on a victory here but so is Coach As bahr. A tie game wont satisfy either. It was admitted here today that an aeroplane corps has been organized by the "war de partment" of the "Ulster Provisional Government" Sir Edward Carson, one of the leaders of the militant anti- Home Rule Ulsterites, has received of fers from half a dozen English avia tors, the latest being B. C. Hucka, who recently assisted in the campaign of the Unionist candidate in the Midloth ian by flying around over the district and distributing pamphlets from the sky. Ulsterites declare the aviation corps will be used merely to distribute propaganda against Home rule, but Home rule advocates declare the ny ing machines will be used in case of the promised and threatened conflict when the first Irish parliament is organized. . i , Take a Glass of Salts If Your Back Hurts or Bladder Troubles You.: ' No man or woman who eats meat regularly can make a mistake by flushing the kidneys occasionally, says a well known authority. ' Meat forms uric acid which excites the kid neys, they become overworked from the strain, get sluggish and fail to. filter the waste and poisons from the rheuamtism, headaches, liver troub'e, blood, then we get sick. Nearly all nervousness ,dizziness, sleeplessness and urinary disorders come from slug gish kidneys. The moment you feel a dull ache in the kidneys or your back hurts or if the urine is cloudy, of efnsive, full of sediment, irregular of passage or at tended by a sensation of scalding, stop eating meat and get about . four ouncesof Jad Salts from any pharm acy; take a tablespoonful in a glass of water before breakfast and in a few days your kidneys will act fine. This famous salts is made from the acid oi grapes and lemon juice, combined with lithia, and has been used for genera tions to flush and stimulate the kid neys, also to neutralize the acids in urine so it no longer causes irritation, thus ending bladder weakness. Jad Salts is inexpensive and can not injure; makes a delightful effer vescent lithia-watcr drink which ev eryone should take now and then to keep the kidneys clean and active and the blood pure, thereby avoiding esri- ous kidney complications. tomach needs to be cleaned and sweet ened.
