, Rondowa.Aug. 25. (Special) The
George Palmer Lumber company is
pushing Its road up Howard creek
with a force of about 200 men. They
have three miles of the road finished
and are now establishing their main
camp at the foot of Eustice canyon,
about six miles from the mouth of
Howard creek. They have also com
pleted a wagon rod along the rail
road track over which they will haul
supplies. They will have enough tim;
ber in this country to keep the mill at
La Grande running from 15 to 20
years it is said. From this camp they
will extend their road as the timber
is needed and perhaps eventually will
build into the Promise and Grossman

' City property.
La Grande is some town, a real live one; a purchaser can al
. ways let go if he desires a change. This is demonstrated
every day. I have sold 14 homes since July 1st, and have
several customes who are just waiting to find something
that just exactly suits them.
I have several homes in South La Grande that are close to
Fourth street that has ;ust been paved and will Increase
values in that section of the city. South La Grande is one
of the most pleasant residence sections of our city in which
to live. Prices are very low compared to what they will be
two years hence. Remember this last statement. -
VERY EASY TERMS.
I have property in every section of the city that I can offer as
: low at $100 down and small monthly payments on the bal
ance. There are many who are paying $25 and more each
month for rent .that should investigate my listings.
