Wool, which was consigned to a Boston house from Wallowa county early in the season, has been sold at good prices, according to late advices from the east,, sayst the Enterprise Record Chieftain. It was practically all fine wool and it netted the grower ovv 15 cents a pound, nearly 2 cents more than was paid for wool bought outright here in the county. The fortunate growers were Jay H. Dobbin, F"d W. Falconer, C. B. Daugherty and N. C. Longfellow. Their clips aggregated about 275,000 pounds. C. L. Tartshorn's and Ram sey & Moxley wool, also consigned, has not got on the market yet. . Clarke, representing Hallowell, Jones & Donald, and the growers discussed the situation and some of the largest sheepmen concluded it better to con sign their wool than to try to sell it in the uhcertain marftet The Boston merchants got the consent of the growers to sell when, in their judg ment, the proper price was reached.
