Call for Help to Pick Berries Late This Week Sent Out. Cove, Ore., June 10. (Special) The strawberries are ' beginning to ripen in the Cove and the growers in ''tend to commence picking the latter part of ' this week and the first of ; next The acreage is a great deal , larger than it was last year, 'and there will be a great deal more of a call for outside help. .The principal growers are H. D. Antlers, R. I. Bar ker, T. J. Ryan, Will Bloom, Richard Wade, James Rundle and J.'W. In-! gram, and Stackland Bros. '; : Another wedding that came as a surprise to their' many friends was that of Edith Anderson and George Fager. They were married last a Thursday evening in La Grande. The bride is the popular young daughter of Mr. and Mrs.' Andrew Anderson,; and has lived here all her life. Mr. Fager came here about two years ago. They will live in Cove. R. C. Ingram has gone up into Mal heur county, where he will work with a surveying crew his summer. Grover Duffy has returned from j Moscow, Idaho, where he has been attending school the past winter. Robert Baxter sold his place In the northern part of town to George j . Fager. 1 M. J. Duffy started for the east, Wednesday. He will visit relatives at Rome, N. Y., and other points and ' expects to be gone about six weeks. ' Mrs. L. Remillard of La Grande is visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. E. C. Rees. , J G. H. Currey of La Grande was in Cove the early part of the week in the interests of the Observer, . Miss Charlotte Eamsdell started for her home in the Isle of Pines Monday. She has been living with her uncle, C. M. Eamsdell for tho past two years and attending High school here. y Miss Eva - Wilson returned to her home in North Powder Wednesday,1 after visiting here for a couple of weeks. ' Mrs. Frank Miller of Alicel has fceen snendine the week with her mother, Mrs. Mae Kelly. The choir of the Methodist church will give a concert next Tuesday Vi-pnintr at the Maccabee hall.
