We have had plenty of rain in tbe last three weeks, and too much la some places, but the last rain has settled tbe ' ground. The wheat fields are looking green. 'AH we need now is plenty ot sunshine, and south wind to dry up tbe roads. The farmers are getting anxious to commence spring plowing and if there Is no more rain they will get busy in about a week or ten days. Some of the farmers bave been building fence while the ground was soft so they could drive the posts. Jay Conley, who has been on tbe slckllst the past two weeks is gett ng along nicely, and will soon be able to be out. If the nice weather stll continues. Mrs. George Jasper of Lower Cove, who bas been quite alck with pneu monia fever is on the road to recov ery. ... .,. .
