(Special) A miscellaneous shower given at the home of O, P. Pratt on March 20th In honor of Scott Kogord and Cora Win tera, who will be married la April About sixty friends of the young cou pie were present and they receive a many useful presents. Refreshments were served and everyone bad a royal good time. The many friends ot this young couple wish them every suocess and happiness in their new life together. Mrs. Fanny Wilkinson died on Mar. 23. Mrs. Wilkinson had been strick en with paralysis some time ago and had been helpless ever since. She wa.s one of the early pioneers of this sec tiou. Cne son and her husband prj ceded her to the Promised Land. She had been a members of the Pregby terlan church for several years. Ser vices were held at the residence and the remains were laid to rest by the Biae ot ner nusoana. sue leaves a son and daughter and brothers and sisters to mourn her loss. Mr. Brassfield had the misfortune to ma a nail through his foot whic'a caused hira to have a bad case of blood pois oning and for a time his life was de spaired of. Plnkerton, chief of the department, to move his office to Walla Walla' on the first of. next month. The order came as a surprise to V . As an explanation of the order for removal, he is notified that the officials at Washington Ihave decided to consol idate two offices and that hereafter the local chief will have charge of' the meat Inspection work as well as the field work.
