The high prices that have ruled for Jute bags during recent years have not been due to any manipulating influences 01 pa cific coast interests; contrary to the general ideas held by growers. The Jute that goes to make the grain bag comes mostly from- India and the real cause of the high prices will be. found there. Improvement In the. condition of the workers and a curtailment of the Jute crop by Indian growers contribute- most to the recent advances in the price of bags.
