Camp was established on th west side of . the river the first of the week and Wednesday morning a crew went out to start the final survey for the main canal. ' About a dozen men are hi the crew with E. I. Davis In charge. They are prepared to eamp there while the work la in progress. In addition to' a regular camp equip ment, they have a cook. The camp Is established near the West jranch. It is the general opln Ion. however, that by the time this work is completed further orders will have been received. The first unit, on which the work started hls week is for, embraces what Is now the Oregon Land & Wa ter Power company project, mnre commonly known as the Irrlgon pro ject.
