', A long string of sleds loaded with bogs reached Enterprise from Para dise and Flora Monday afternoon, af ter an Interesting trip through the deep snow of the north woods. Part of the men, camping In the old barn at Red Fir, nearly got caught under It when It collapsed Sunday night Another string of sleds was caught the if ne night on Snow Hollow grade and had to camp there. The sleds were divided Into three groups Sunday evening. The first reached Sled Springs and put up there for the night. The second stopped at Red Fir. iMen and horses gathered In the big old barn, the only place out of the deep enow. Fires were made' In side and the men spread their blank ets and prepared to spend the night there. Before they had turned In, some one noticed that the walls of the old building seemed to be settling. The sunnorts under the old sills were giv ing way beneath the strain. The warmth of the room where the fire was softened up the snow about the walls and they were yielding under the weight of the deep snow on the roof. Blankets were gathered up and tak en outside. The horses were led out. In a few minutes the old barn coV lapsed. The men In this party were Miner Stump of Flora, Joe Harris and John West and his small son. '' At the same time Dave Kuhn, Walt er Enyartylra Phillips, William Gra ham, Clarence aridHorace F. Dale were having troubles of their own on the Snow Hollow grade. Phillips' sled upset six times In a mile. Trav el was so slow that night came on with the sleds out on the road where the men put In most of the night, with the thermometer barely above zero. Aside from these Incidents the trip was successful, The road was better than had been expected and by the time the last sled had passed oyer it was In really good condition.' Others who came In the party were Albert Wilson, Edward Enyart, Ernest Fish er, Aaron Thomas Harvey Heridrick son and S. R. Cochran.
