Mr. Dick Purnett Is busy hauling his seed grain from tbe Stockdale ranch to be ready for spring sowing. There are quite a number of ama teur trappers on all tbe creeks. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Smith treat ed the young folks with a social dance on the evening of the first. Eddie O'ConneU of Portland and Jack Kennedy of Hermlston went to a draw last night at the Oregon the ater In a finish wrestllug match. At the end of two hours of severe tests of Btrength, neither man secured a fall. The superior skill of the cham pion was successfully met by the agil ity of Kennedy who through being the stronger, broke away from hold after hold and got out of many a tight position when both shoulders were dangerously near the mat Kennedy played every trick he has mastered in the came and on several times had O'ConneU struggling des perately. But the champion was able to extricate himself from every posi tion of danger. The Hermlston lad showed himself possessed of superior strength and all O'Connoll's efforts to hold him were futile. During the second hour, of tbe bout, Kennedy's foot struck one of the electrlo bulbs among the foot lights.
