railroad' presidents, 13 vice presi
dents, five general managers, besides
many other officials. This branch of
the Y. M. C A. Is doing a great work
and both employers and employes are
showing their appreciation. . One of
the very Interesting' addresses of the
session, was given by W. G. Lee, pres
ident of the Brotherhood of Railway
Trainmen.1 His address as It appears

good work that has been done, the

nished to our men when they could

Railroad Y. M. C. A. has done for the
men I represent over this country,
and I wish It were possible to say to
you that every trainman In the Unit

you, as I have heard said in the past,
that all good men hold membership
In a certain organization, but unfor

stances form a rather bad opinion of
some of the members of these organ

In these four great brotherhoods and
in some of the others, and swear to
be upright, better men and better
citizens. In every way. Some of them

own organization Benevolence. Bo
brlety and Industry is the motto on
the banner. Sobriety! -It Is a great
virtue to be sober in thought, word
and action and the founders of our
Brotherhood appreciated the dangers
of Intemperance when they inscribed
that grand motto on our eanner. In
temperance murdeas the soul. It I
the son of all villainy, the mother of
all crime, and the father of all abom
ination. And so, why should not the
president of .the Brotherhood of Rail
road Trainmen come to you today
bringing the best wishes of 'more
than 125,000 members? (Applause.)
