IsaMer Seat's Choice Grades to East ern Families' Tables Imbler, Jan. 22. (Special) A car toad of potatoes have been sold by Ceo. I Cleaver and Sherwood Wil liams for the Cblcago market. The potatoes are large, smooth, eitra fan. cy. averaging 72 to me dox. iaej an wrapped In paper the same s apples and are Intended for the fancy trade In Cilcago. This speaks well for the Imbler district and for Ore gon. When the Cblcago market gees through the states of Montana and Colorado to Oregon for choice pota toes, the potatoes grown here must certainly be of a choice quality. ' While the price of wheat has not materially changed In the last week the genera opinion Is that now the price is on a basis of supply and de madn altogether and there Is do like lihood that any violent change back ward should be looked for. Flour has not a yet advanced In La Grande and there Is no likelihood that It will unless Vviolent shift In the price upward takes place. Most' of tho b'gr purchases on the coast are' being APPLES, THEY) made by the millers1 which would in dicate that there Is going be an ud vance In the near future. Vegetables 'Are Scarce. (Radishes from the hot house are on the market. Two bunches or 15 cents is the price. Ini other lines there Is little supply and will be from now on. Cattle mad Hogs Unchanged. Although the receipts on the Port land markets were heavy, the demand was equal to the supply and the pries remained at the figures for last week.
