Jack 'Nice haa been apprised of the golden wedding of ber grand parents, air. and IMrs. James C. Fras er of Mountain View Cottage, Fort William, Ontario, on Dec. 20th 1912. Both of the old couple were born in the good old country of Scotland, the home of many a noted man and woman. They had 14 children, seven ons and seven daughters of whom three daughters are living. There are 26 grandchildren and 10 great grand children. The couple are hale and hearty at a very advanced age which speaks well for the frugal life of these simple godfearing people. They came to Canada 21 .'years ago and have lived there ever since with the exception of one year spent in the mother country some eight years ago. , Many and valuable presents were received on the occasion of , their golden wedding and all of them were In gold. The golden wedding cane was a three story affair Bnd was brought by Mrs. Bever from Vlrdlu, Manitoba. Mri and Mrs. T. L. After partaking of a sumptuou four course luncheon which Mrs. Coolldge knows so well how to prepare, the guests were Introduced to the high ly up to date incubator cellar which Mr. Coolldge owns and operates. The Modem Woodmen of America and the Royal Neighbors of America will hold a joint Installation at the K. of P. hall next Thursday evening, Jan. 16, at which time the officers of both lodges will be Installed. A ban quet will be held after the Installa tion and all Royal Neighbors and Woodmen and their families sre ur fiutly requested to be present. The Parkdale club started out the new year right by meeting with Mrs. C. C. Coolldge of May Park. Each guest responded with an appropri ate quotation and Mrs. Lee Humphrey of Island City favored the guests with the Elks' auditorium. All Elks and lady friends are to be guests. This company was here last year and made a big hit. Miss May Emtgh entertained a par ty of friends at her home Wednes day evening.
