' ' In the Initial kickoff Pendleton left an end on the sideline wearing a heavy sweater and a cap, and on the first dowB, raced out on' the field proper and took a neat pass of 30 yards. Throughout the first half Ba: ker's powerful line smothered Pen dleton's line plays ;'and forward pasr ses were resorted to freely, being successful six out of eight times in the first half. Ftnnell of Pendleton missed an easy chance for a toucn down by dropping the ball back of Pnker's line, when he attempted to take forward pass In the Baker 10 yard tone but missed the ball. Later In the game Herbert of Baker did much the same thing, and in the same spot exactly after the goal change.' ' Pendleton scored after the ball had been carried almost the length of the Held on successful forward passes which Baker could not stop.
