Hay shipmentsfrora Eastern Ore
gon are now in full blast. Haines,
in Baker county, is rated as one of
the really big hay-producing districts
and from there 100.004 tons are being
shipped to l'ortlnd this week. Por
tions, however, are going elsewhere,
but Portland is taking the bulk.
With this starter Wallowa, Union
and other Eastern Oregon hay pro
ducers are commencing the system
atic sale of hay that goes on during
the winter months and all of these
districts have plenty of hay to sell,
though heavy rains at the wrong
period took the first class tone off
much hay this summer.
In this county hay prices are rel
maining firm with considerable or
ferlngs. Local dealers, like the
Haines shippers, aro sending their
stuff westward where the best mar
kets are obtainable.

The rougher whiskey tastes the stronger it is.
The stronger it is the more harm it will do.
But then you don't have to drink it rough, strong,
or high-proof.
There's Cyrus Noble, pure, eld and palatable
bottled at drinking strength.
Costa no more than any other whiskey.
