Braughn of La Grands not guilty of the larceny of 113,000 In promissory notes from New ton C. Gauntt, Mrs. Gauntt. wife of the complaining witness, arose from her seat, staggered blindly from the courtroom and fain bed In th corridor. She was cared for by Bailiff Noonan. who carried her Into Judge McGinn' chamers, where she soon revived. Mrs. Gauntt has been taking a very active part In th prosecution, con sulting with Deputy District Attorney Dennlson during every recess of the court and sitting at his elbow during the proceedings. The case of the stat was so weak that It was submit ted to the jury without argument on the part of the state's attorney and the verdict was returned In a few mo ments. The notes in question were made out by Gauntt to Braughn In payment for a block of building and loan stock of a land promotion com pany in Washington. Gauntt declared that the notes were never surrendered to Braughn, but were placed In his hands only temporarily for exhibition to the members of thA land company. Braughn proceeded to hypothecate them. Another 'complaint made by Gauntt was that the stock which he purchased was highly and artistically watered. After caring for his wife, Gauntt met Braughn in the corridor of the courthouse and attempted to strike him. The men were separated by At torney Snedecor, but Gauntt warned the defendant that he wolud "fill him full of cold lead" the next time they met. ' , Mrs. Braughn, mother of the de fendant, . was In attendance at the trial. W0.HE. FALL IN LOVE W11H The Electric Radiant Grill r -ssr-i A Dainty Luncheon , MARKET BEPOBTS.
