Horse Kails With Rider and Saddr Horn f rush's Upper Purl of CuM Hard luck seems to be hovering about John Spain, popular ' Union county stockman and buckaroo who won the championship In the bucking contest at the 1911, roundup. Last July while giving an exhibition of steer roping he suffered an Injury which caused the amputaton of one of his hands and now comes the re port that he has just had a narrow escape from death when an "out law" which he was riding at the John Day fair fell and rolled with him.
