Wtyle at the present time the de mand tor cherries is not brisk owing to the pness of other fruits, rather fair prices are again In effect owing to the excellence of tbe quality of the arrivals from Eastern Oregon. The cherries are now coming from the Cove section and are of the Lam bert variety and the fruit Is even bet ter quality ' than any shipments re ceived this year from the Willamette valley. "The Cove country Is coming to the front as a cherry producer" says Mark Levy of Mark Ijevy & Co., commission merchants. "Just at presentLamberts are offering from there and sales are being made around 10c a pound. Ship ments are being mad both In 10 lb. boxes and In crates containing 24 one pound boxes."
