Three Judges will be selected from without the seven .states by the pres idents of the agricultural colleges and presidents of the grain exchanges. . .Judging will be tn three wars, one third of the points on the accepted seed score card; another third by points gained In a milling and baking test, while one .third of the possible one hundred point .will be awarded for the yield per acre. Here Is about the way wheat Is Judged: 25 'points on weight per bushel, and S points on uniformity of sample; 15 points are allowed on Tarlety characters; 3 of these being one color; 10 on .purity which means the kernels must be true to type of the breed represented'; 2 points for Kernel anf wimu, varies wuu lue breed. Thirty points are allowed for vital ity, 6 of these being for luster; 15 points for pluiouneae ss all kernels i should ba well rounded, havlug no I sharp corners and the creases well closed. Seven points are on odor, the samples must be free from smell. . Twenty-five kernels are. allowed for market condition,' 10 of these to cov er weed seed; 3 for dirt and dust; 2 for Injured kernels; 5 for smut and 5 the condition of the bran. All bro ken. and scabby kernels will count against the wheat. According to the rules governing the $5,000 wheat contest, those who Intend to compete tor the prize should give notice Is soon as possible that bin room may be provided for each exhibitor. All ' samples must consist of Ave bushels of threshed grain and from five to ten sheaves which are from six to ten Inches In diameter and are from the same field. These mast be sent prepaid to the Northwest Pro ducts Exposition, Minneapolis, so they will arrive before Nov. 1. Special arrangements may be made with local commercial clubs -to have these samples of wheat sent free of cost No entry fee of any kind -will be charged by the exposition, but be' cause a part of each sample will be ground Into flour, the whole sample becomes the property of the exposi tion management.
