game In spots, but brilliant support
shut off several bits and runs. Kelly,
the man with the big Jinx, was all
to the good and struck out 11 men,
allowing lour hits tor La Grande. The

of a resolution adopted by the com
mon council of the city of La Grande,
Oregon, on the 15th day of May, 1912,
creating improvement district No. 60
and deolfnattng Cedar street, as snch
district, and in pursuance of a reso
lution adopted by said common coun
cil on the 15th day of May, 1912,
whereby said council determined and
declared Its intention to Improve all
that portion of Cedar street, in said
improvement district as hereinafter
described, by grading said street, the
council will, ten days after the ser
vice of this notice upon the owners
of the property affected and benefited
by such improvement, order that said
above described improvement be made
that the boundaries of said district to
be so improved are as follows:
from the south line of Main avenue
to the north line of Spring avenue.
(A) And the property affected or
benetlted by said Improvement is as
follows:
Lots 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6, block 2 and
lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, block 5,

gon. Notice is hereby further given that
the council will levy a special assess
ment on all the property affected and
benefited by such Improvement for the
