of Circuit Court Today.
T. Hobaon will be placed on trial
next Monday on a stautory charge in
connection with the sensational elope
merit of himself and Mlas Norris of
Elgin some time ago. Hobson has
been held in the Jail here since .his
arrest and the friends of both families
will be much interested in the out
come of the trial.

In which Susan Crane Is plaintiff vs
the O.-W. The plaintiff owns a piece
of land on the west end of the rail-
road yards and the case has been In
litigation for some little time.

More time was required to clear the
landslide at Durkee than was anti
cipated and it was 9 o'clock last night
before the first of the delayed trains
reached La Grande. All of the belated
passenger and mall trains were regis
tered In before midnight.
Because of the congestion on the
tast end, the passenger crew between
Portland and Pendleton was required
to bring No. 18 on to La Grande
where a freight crew took It on east.
