They are on their way to the Rose Show. - Charles Harding, who was operat ed upon recently at the Grande Ronde hospital -is reported to be Im proving rapidly. Mrs. A. L. Richardson li.is returned from Southern California where she spent the winter months. Mr. and Mrs. Savage are on their honeymoon and intend to spend a few days in Portland at tending the Rose Show. 4- Mr. and Mrs. Frank Atkinson, Mrs. M. McCurry and daughters. Mls. Hat tie and Mis.s Theresa and Miss Bell Ferguson of Elgin left last night for Portland to attend the annual Rose show. Georee Jacobs is looking af ter Mr. Atkinson's store while the latter Is away. 4 J. K. Wright has returned from an extended trip east during which he visited most of the large cities sur rounding the Great Lakes. While away Mr. Wright did much publicity work for his company and the valley In general. He reports that there is much Interest, throughout the east, in the growth of Oregon. 4- 4- Frank Clark.' the king of globe trotters, passed through the city this morning en route to Portland. .Mr. Clark started from New York and will go to Portland and from there will embark for Sweden.
