'' Cove's frutt association, through Its secretary, Karl J. Stackland. loudly yraises the Northwestern Fruit ex change. In a letter to the Observer which says: , "On October 7th last, the Cove Fruit association shipped a car of apples, containing 640 boxes, consign ed to the Northwestern Fruit Ex change at Saskatoon, Sask., where it arrived In a badly damaged condition, caused by the soot and fumes from the ! heaters that the railroad peo ple had placed In the car to protect it from freezing. Consequently the car was refused by the buyer and left on the bands of the Canadian Pacific, who bold it at Winnipeg for the ac count of transportation. Since that time the Northwestern Fruit Exchange diaugc has been fighting the- railroad company for redress and finally euc eeeded in collecting the full Invoice price for the fruit and remitted the same to us on the 3rd of June, without any charges for pushing this damage claim and effytlng this collection.
