Carl R. Gray came outfrom the

of Oregon, contain some interesting
statistics, which Illustrate the prac
tical work that is being accomplished
by the college Y. M. C. A. A atuden:
book exchange Js maintained at the
headquarters on the campus, where
the students may place their second
hand books- on sale. This Is done
with no charge of any kind to the
stduent, .the association asking so
commission on sales made. This year
the students have been reimbursed

An employment bureau Is conducted
by the association, which furnlsho
with work a large number of student!

through the university. A total ot
130 positions have been filled this
year with students bringing to them

Students going to college as fresh
men sometimes strange and unac
quainted, are often at a loss to know
