The La Grander wes sent there to lny some wooden pipe for the Portland Wood ripe company and he Is an experienc ed pipe layer. He worked for La Grande fast year laying 16 Inch wood pipe. He goes back to Idaho early inext spring to lay a water mam ror Preston which will be about 38 miles long. Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Conradt return ed last evening from Portland where they have been spending their honey moon. Mrs A. R. Conradt formerly Miss Anna Krieger, was born and raised in La Grande.
