(Special) The teacher and pupils of the Ladd Canyon school observed Columbus day as the other schools of the county did. Little Helen Peeblar, who has not walked a step for over a year on ac count of spinal mylltts, is now able to walk some by the aid of crutches, and braces which she recently had ad justed on her ankles. Her many Mends will be glad to know that she Is rapidly reaching the stage where she can enjoy life as others do She Is still taking treatment twice a week from Dr; Darland. th Mrnnntnr. -Mrs. Fred Braden and Miss Kate Braden, wife and daughter of Fred Braden; are quite 111 and are confined to thai r beds. Miss Kate was sudden ly taken sick with appendicitis and typhoid fever combined about a week ago but under the care of Dr. Upton, she has been relieved of the appendi citis and is getting' along as nicely as could be expected with the fever. Mrs. Braden was taken sick several weeks ago with an abscess under the knee and was quite a good deal better when she was stricken a few days. ago wtlh spinal rheumatism. The Banton and Conaway thresh ing outfit have completed the thresh ing in the Ladd Canyon nelghborhoodJ and in the valley and as soon aa they can thresh several fields in the upper part of the canyon they will have fin ished their season's run. 1 First Amtriean Latter Box.
