Fire In Alaska Disastrous.
Washington, July 22. Dispatches re
ceived by the interior department from
Juneau, Alaska, today state that fierce
forest fires are raging In the vicinity
of Haines, 30 mile8 northwest of Jun
eau, and that the town will probably
be destroyed. Grave fears are felt for
the fire may work havoc in the nation
al forest reserves. '
