which, with the horticulture and farm
mechanics buildings, make three now

Is expected to have It finished, with
the equipment Installed by the opening
of the first semester this fall, Sept. 29.
The building Is to be divided into
three shops, one" for wood working,
one for plumbing and a foundry. The
foundry will occupy an area of 60x35
feet, and will contain a cupola for
melting Iron, a brass furnace, a core
oven; the necessary melting tools, and
all the equipment ot a moaeru wuu
dry. Adjoining the foundry will be the
plumbing and pipe fitting shop, occu
pying some 34x24 feet,of Bpace. In
structional work here will be supple
mented by much of the repair work of
the college a saving of a considerable
amount of money to the state In keep
ing up the college plumbing.
The rest ot the building will be giv
en over to the wood working depart
ment, which has hitherto been much
cramped for space In the old shops
Lathes will be Installed, and in addi
tion to the Instruction work done there
much of the furniture and other equlpr
ment needed by the college In Its of
fices, class rooms and other depart
ments, will be constructed here at
much smaller expense than they could
be bought. V
When the building Is completed, the
three shops will, almost double the
capacity of the present shops.. They
are erected on the ground formerly oc
cupled by the old greenhouses between
the engineering building and the shops

nerve in tooth drawing iso causes
agony to Intense that it has been stated
that no human being could endure it
for more than two seconds at a time.
