Kentucky G. O. P. Convention '
Louisville, ky., July 11. The re
publican state convention assembled
in this city today and was called to
order shortly before 1 o'clock this
afternoon. The convention will nom
inate candidates for governor and for
all other state offices to be voted on
at the election next November. The
official call omits all mention of in
structions for United States senator,
and the general understanding la that
none will be given. ,
Several spirited contests are In view
for places on the state ticket and It
