Miss Inez Mllholland fulfills both requirements. She is strikingly strenu ous. Probably she Inherits much of her strenuity from her wealthy father, John E. Mllholland, who was a newspaper reporter for twelve years before he began to get rich. Just now Miss Mllholland Is studying law. She has opinions of her own and would dearly love to hand down opinions from the bench. When she was in school at Vassar she organized a suffragist club, but the president, a mere man, forbade the girls meeting to advocate woman's rights. Miss Mllholland got the girls together and held a meeting at midnight In a graveyard, using the tombstones for seats. Last year she did valiant work as a picket in the shirt waist girls' strike in New York and was arrested for it, but she didn't mind that Miss Mllholland could shine in society if she desired, but she is too much of an individualist to become an aping model for gowns and millinery.
