Two Other Important Issues np - Settlement by the Taxpoyers for Opening at 2 o'clock and continuing until 6 o'clock tonight, the annual school election is being held today at the high school building. On the eve of the election, pressed to it by his many friends, Dr. C. T. Bacon conseut- ! ed to becomt.a candidate for the office of school director and the apparent I outcome is in favor of Mr.'' Bacon, i There ar other candidates in the field jtoo. It Is said, and the election ia thereby doubly spirited. Two other paramount issues are be ing settled. One Is the selection of .a permanent playgrounds, the vacant block directly in the rear of the high school building, and the otlur is the matter of re-',Tibursing School Clerk Williams with approximately $1,500 which he lost by the failure of the Farmers and Traders National bank. That sum was deposited there as 6chool funds and Mr. Williams promptly made yod the loss from his own purse.
