J, Blanch ard, statistician of the reclamation ser vice, who has returned from a tour of Inspection. "At the present time thetr are 28 projects in various stages of construe--tion," said Blauchard. "The total acre age involved in these projects Is 3,200, 000 'which will provide homes for ap proximately 320,000 persons on farms, andean equal number in cities towns and villages within this area or in the neighborhood , thereof, or a total of ja flnri rxtonio . The investment of the government In the projects now under construction is ?G2 208 000.' The total computed cost of these projects 'when completed la $145,000,000. The allotment to cover the work during the present fiscal year Is $10,000,000. This does not include the issue of $20,000,000 in certificates, which will be available when required.
