(Special) -A "girls' convocation," In which not a man ap peared on the program, was held to day at the Oregon agricultural college and drew a large audience, especially of young men. . Mrs. Ida A. Kidder, college librar ian, acted as chairman and Introduced the numbers, the first of which was an Instrumental duet by Miss Elinor Sudtcll'.of Halsey, Linn county, and Miss Vena Rickard of Corvallls, Ben ton county. An address by Esther Leech of Grants Pass, Josephine coun ty, was followed by a reading by Miss Vera Haskell of Corvallls. The Waldo Ladies' quartette number was suc ceeded by an oration by Miss Rickard, a solo by. Miss VIda Rogers of Tilla mook, and reading ' by Ielleen Leech of Grants Pass.
