Storekwwr v D'ei at Jioon a Evident for 15 Years After five years of suffering, much of It excruciating, especially of late, Mrs. A J. Martin, wife ot O.-W. Store keeper Martin, died at noon today of rheumatism. Death was not wholly unexpected for she has been In a pre carious condition for several days. Five years ago she was made an in valid by. the ravages of tile painful disease and almost continually since that date has been in pain. Jler hus band and a daughter, Miss Irma, a popular youn lady of the high school student body, Burvlve the deceased. Funeral arrangement had not been definitely set this afternoon but will probably be next Monday. . Mrs. Martin, iue Clementina Swy gart, was born in Columbus. ,!Ohio. about 50 years ago... In 1S93 she camp to La Grande and was married to A. J. Martin and has lived here continually since.. Mrs.. Martin was made a re cluse of late by the painful disease and though her condition was raaliz.d by the family of late surprise . was caused among her friends at the newf of her demise this noon.
