ey with which to erect a building for

was answered in part by the erection
of the present men's building. Con
tinued answer was given In the pur
chase of the building on La Salle
avenue for women's dormitories, and
still further In the men's new build

Method of Training.
: The method is to combine practi
cal training with lectures and study.
Mr. Moody being' pre-eminently a
iiian of one book and having achieved
his marvelous success with that alone
naturally felt that the English Bible
ought to occupy the first place in the
training of men for Christian work.
Accordingly the Students are requir
ed to study the Bible as a whole, and
each of its parts in particular. They
pre taught to analyze the books, and
to dissect each cnapter so as to dls
cover the principal subject and lead
ing lesson. '
Furthermore they are shown how to
use the Bible in leading men to
Christ, and in meeting the various ex
cuses which arise in Christian work.
Fach student has from three to five
assignments a . week tor personal
work in jails, missions, Gospel wag
on or other services, and they are
examined on their personal work as
veil as on their studies. In this way
they get an all-round experience
which the classroom alone could ner
