(Special) It Is a fact not gener ally known that the Lewiston State Normal has for its student . body greater average mileage than any other Normal school in the West to day. Last year the average mileage for the student body at Lewiston was 119.5. This year it is 138.4 miles, that is, the average distance travelled by each student attending the Lewiston normal is 138.4 miles. There are now at the Lewiston Normal over two hundred eighty students enrolled and It Is estimated that the total enroll ment for the year 1910-11 will be three hundred fifty an Increase of seventy-five per cent over the pre vious year 1909-10.. Students have en rolled from every Bection of Idaho and from the states of Washington, Oregon, North and South Dakota, Missouri, Michigan, Iowa and Maine. Ronde climate stands out in strong contrast while the people are touring the -valley in their auto mobiles for business and pleasure, when people are reported to he freez ing to death, trains are snowbound, and the mercury anywhere from zero to 58 below.
