Business Men's Position Points Out Need of Readjustment Salem, Ore., Jan. 10 (Special) A large petition signed by nearly all the business men of La Grande has been filed with the railroad commission. The commission is asked to include La Grande ' with Baker City In the matter of securing a more uniform commodity freight rate from the Ore gon Railroad & Navigation company. The commission's attention Is refer red to a recent complaint filed by the Baker City Commercial club In which it Is alleged the O. R. & N. company discriminates in its commodity rates between Portland and Baker City. women Die.
