Personal and General 3ews From Ladd Canyon. Ladd Canyon, Nov. 30 (Special) Mrs. Retta Allen, the school teacher here, spent Thanksgiving up at Clov ed Creek .with hei brother, Wallace Murcer. During the , bad weather which prevailed here and the large snow drifts In Ladd Canyon she was unable to reach here to open school until Tuesday. Miss Frankle Peebler spent Thanks giving In La Grande with. h,er grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Peebler, remaining over night to attend the band dance. Frank MqClure and family have moved into the old Harmon house which he recently purchased and re modeled. He has also purchased the land. Mrs Laurence Drumsmlth Is on the road to recovery again since her re moval, from La Grande to her moun tain home in upper Ladd Canyon.
