Mrs. Stahl of Walla Walla, wife of a prominent merchant of that city, was in La Grande last evening ou her way to her home from Joseo'j. The trip down the' river will be' made on the J. S. Potter, a boat on which Mi'. Zweiffel worked some time ago. Albert W. Casey, a prominent Irri gation of Los Angeles, is at the Sommer today. Mr. Casey recently returned from a visit to Wallowa county and Is looking over the pro posed Irrigation system In this city. .1. T.
