BRAMWELL, Register. June-24Aug,-5. Forty thousand dollars of Portland and Seattle money have been expend ed in Union county during the oast three months, according to authorita tive statistics, and this amount is on ly what has been handled through one real estate firm. Perhaps again as much as this has come to Union coun ty through the medium of other real estate dealers and from sources where there are no intermediate man. A l.b eral portion of the sum named came from Seattle where the investors were turned to Grande Ronde through the medium of a photograph of exist ing orchards. Deeming the picture so good that it warranted further Investi gation, the investor followed up the clue until he had purchased a largo tract of land near Imbler. . The $40,000 named were spent at Im bier and Cove, buying fruit tra'ts, indicating that while La Grande ani other Grande Ronde valley towns are sending some money into Seattle and Portland real estate circles, therj is a vastly larger amount coming t;.is way. Earlier In the season sales to Port land and. Seattle people were Liist but not more so than they have been the past two or three months.
