FRANK RUSSELL'S BODY FOOD. lodged Against Obstruction Orer SO Miles from Point of Drowning. Troy, June 2. The body of Frank Russell was found last Sunday eve ning, iine mile below the ranch ot Charles Shoemaker, In the Grande Ronde river. It was brought. to this city the first ot the week for burial. Frank Russell,, was downed in the Little Salmon river, about four miles above the river's mouth, April 24. He was attempting to cross the stream at the time. Searching parties were sent out immediately, and a close watch has been kept for the body ever since, though no trace of it be fore Sunday when it was found. The body had been drifted down by the current fur miles in the Little Salmon river and down below the Shoemaker ranch on the Grande Ronde, a total distance of over 25 miles. It Is stated that though the remains had been in the water for so long a period, yet the cold tempera ture of the rivers had preserved it well. New plans for the development of the home grounds are now in order. Such plans should by all means be carefully studied In the evening hours before they are put to the making, and right here a few suggestions may prove Interesting and helpful to those who are striving to assist In upbuild ing tbelr borne towns. If yoo have tbe least spark of town Improvement ambition in you. see to it (bat yoo and your neighbor scrutinize . this sketch closely and get busy with year lawn, and It will do much toward making your village an Ideal one and tend to draw citizens.
