hitting the home stretch this week
In his preparations for the enumera
tion which Is to commence next week
he must visit Baker City, La Grande.
Pendleton, The Dalles and Astoria.
In these cities not all the accept
ances of enumerators have been re
ceived. Astoria, In this regard, was
a leading offender, Bays Mr. Beach.
"Nearly, every city Is alive to the

Beach this morning. "The people are
showing tremendous interest coupled
with active co-operation to make the

icessful. The enumerators ha hut

was adjourned to meet last night,
and at this later meeting the board
