Walter M. Pierce, always equal to
a toast occasion, went into the philo'
sophlcal principles of what men ex
pect -of the church and Rev. F. M
Canfleld of the M. E. Church- South
answered In a sister topic of what
the church expects of men. Then
came the informal address of Evange
list Johnson. From first to last tbo
event was pleasing and no small
amount of credit is due the ladles
who so . skillfully and under excel
lent generalship, served the large "at-J
