Ave. About 20 guests were present and a delightful time was spent. The young ladles served a delicious luncheon to their guests. Next Tuesday evening the B. P. 0. E. Lodge No. 433 will give their 13th annual ball in the auditorium of their home. This party always marks one of the , largest 'social affairs of the season and Is looked forward to from year to year by the Elks and their families and sweethearts. A good many out of town Elks are ex pected to attend this year, despite the fact that the anniversary of Washington's birthday, fell during Leat, a large crowd will be In at tendance. The Observer neglected to mention yesterday that Information coming to the attention of local merchants re garding the check forger working in Pendleton and likely headed for La Grande, had come to the police here and if he is caught here tonight he generally works on Saturday night to notify the city police department. Revival Continues A large audience heard Whlston last night on "Popular Amusements" and great Interest was manifested. Two men were baptized at the close. Tonight Whlston will speak on "Up and Down." this Is another striking message. ' Longman will sing and there will be other special music Sunday will be a great day. Bible School at 9:45.
