N, Kerr, about to shoulder the duties of secretary and clerk to the newly organized Nampa Retail Mer chats Protective Association, is 'in La Grande today conferlng with sec retary Fred B. Currey and other promintnt members of the local lnstl aMjfcin. Nampa recently organized under the direction of F. B. Currey, 40 charter members comprising the order. Now, Mr. Kerr, the newly chosen secretary, affirms there are 75 and more coming. Mr. Kerr is a genuine booster. and an Oregonian until a year ago when he moved from Portland to Nampa, and a man who will give his rapt attention to the welfare of the town he represents. Dispatches re celved here today state that Gabriel Bishop, an American, who was in command of the provisional govern ment artillery corps, was wounded in an engagement near Lake Managua'. His condition is reported to be serldus. Bishops home is in New Iberia, La. He distinguished him self by bravery in the battles of Re cero and other engagements of the Nlcaraguan revolution.
