to act as refiners, separating the ref

later. It is a scientific proposition

location will be just outside of town

tank measuring 6 feet deep and 259

technically as a dosing tank. At the
point where it passes to the dosing
tank, the water is heavily loaded
with bacteria. ,- The first tank is di
vided Into two parts for this reason
Combined, it will hold the sewerage
from 4000 for 24 hours, or if half
used, 2000 people. During that time
bacteria that thrive In oxygen-les3
conditions will have loaded the wa
ter. In the dosing tank, fixed with
plenty of air access and splashing
boards, the water will purify mater
ially as no refuse accompanies it.
The dosing tank la one third as large

tied every eight houra by two au
tomatic syphons. Each instrument
works from the dosing tank to a
large separate filtering board and un
derneath the filtering boards are to
be tile drainage, carrying the water,
now in a purlled state, to plpea lead
ing away for irrigation and other
purposes. '

This will make one of the . most
sanitary refuse consumers that is
being built in any of the large cities
and the cost of construction is not
great. The main sewerage system
has been outlined and detailed by the
Observer already.
