One of the true bills returned by
the grand jury at Its last session just
came to light Saturday afternoon when
Sherif Childers picked" up his man,
McGee, on his return to the city on his
first trip Into the state since the grand
jury adjourned. McGee is charged by
the grand Jury with the non-support
of his wife and children. He was
placed under $200. bond and released.
At. the time, or the indictment ' of
McGee, he was in Walla Walla" and hi3

the woman was ill. Since that time,
however, McGee lias had his wife tak
en to Portlanl to a hospital and' has
had his children brought to his mother
In this city. Not knowing that he had
been acused he came home and pur
chased shoes and clothing for the
children and was preparing to start
them to school. It is not known who
witnessed against theman but the in
dications are that he has been doing
