The Rev. Ford Ellis, nastor of the
Central Christian church of tr U m .
win leave Sunday afternoon for Union
where he will open a series of evan
gelistic meetings. Mrs. Ellis will ac
company him as pianist and Miss
Constance Hastings of Milton will be
the soloist and will bIbo have charge
of the congregational singing. .
The Christian congregation of that
town have a good church but have
been .without a pastor for some time.
It is' probable that sufficient enthu
siasm "will be aroused by the ueeting
that a pastor will be employed. The
Rev. Mr. Ellis atates, however, that
he is going ovei1 to look into the field
and see what the possibilities are.

ey for the conduct of the fight for a
woman suffrage amendment In South
Dakota, which will be voted upon
next year, Is the object of a great
mass meeting to foe held this evening
in Carnegie Hall under the auspices
of the Natlonr.1 American Woman Suf
frage Association. Miss Anna H. Shaw
president of the association, will be
present and deliver au address. Many
other' distinguished speakers will be
present arid expouse the suffrage
cause, and call on the women of the
nation to come to the assistance of
their sisters in South Dakota.
, West Virginia Odd Follows.
Wheeling, W. Va., Nov. 17 Nearly
all of the 300 lodges of Odd Fellows
in West Virginia wll be represented
during the grand lodge meeting, com
menced today and continuing through
tomorrow and Friday. During the con
ventiori the new home of the order at
Elklns will be turned over to the
grand lodge, probably by Henry Gas
aaway Davis, who la the oldest Odd
Fellow in West Virginia, and who con
tributed liberally for the bulldine of
the home for th eandgaesddlcmfwym

members of the order.
