WEAK, WEARY WOMEN.
Real collegiate , rallies announced
the arrival of the Spokane football
team last night. A delegation of stu
dents paraded the streets and gave
vent to their pent-up enthusiasm In
a fitting manner. The team arrived
from Spokane at 9 o'clock under the
tutorship of Qoach Kennedy, whose
brother has won fame in the Univer
sity of Chicago.
Today Coach Kennedy had little to
say regarding the prospects of his
team, but did say that he and hi
men had come to win if possible. The
utter absence In the minds of the Spo
kane players of the strength of the
La Grande team, has kept them on the
anxious seat. They are well known to
La Grande, however, as many of the
team have met with local track ath
letes on the cinder paths and on the
field of contests. RIter, the track and
field man, well known locally, is not
with the team. Ills position is fullback.

No one expects to buy strictly high grade goods at the price"
of "cheap stuff," but some think that a high price guaran
tees high quality. Dont make this mistake In buying a range.
Many ranges of ordinary construction are priced high or even
higher than -the Incomparable Monarch.
WHEN YOD BUY. A RANGE
Find out what it Is made of and how built! You have a right
to know these things. Any man selling ranges -who says,
"Our range Is a fuelsaver a perfect baker," and stops htere,
casts a reflection on your intelligence. lf these things are

are possible only in rauges where Malleable iron is used. We

About the Woolen Mills.
A movement is on foot to secure
the sale of or capital with which to
operate the Union woolen mill, and
while it is of course uncertain Just
what the outcome will be, it Is hoped
that a good result will follow the
work being done. The owner. Dr. Bai

but Is willing to co-operate with oth

to start up the mill. Union Repub
